RESILIENCY PRIDE EMPOWERMENT

In northern Thailand, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, sits a small tea plantation of 500 acres. Woman-owned and managed, the farm is also certified organic. Many of the tea pluckers belong to the tribes native to the region, like the Akha people, and still proudly wear their indigenous clothing.

These women work hard for their families, and the farm manager follows a fairness model to ensure that all workers are treated well and have the opportunity to better their lives. Following this philosophy, new apartment-style housing was recently completed on the farm as well, raising the workers' standard of living and quality of life.
